Have you heard about the Summer Intensive Religious Education Program we offer here at St. Leo? Here are a few details for your information and to let you know its not too late to sign up for the program this August! From August 8 to 12, from 9am to 3pm, students in grades 1-5 (including those going into 1st or coming out of 5th, if they have not yet learned that grade) will embark on a journey of faith as catechists cover a variety of topics that children should learn at their age level. We use the Faith and Life Series (which we also use on Sunday weekly sessions) by Ignatius Press. We put faith into practice by having music each day as well as a craft. On the last day we have a very special mass and later walk over to Hilton East to sing to the residents there. They are all smiles when they hear the special melody of kids singing! But it doesn't end at the end of the week, because families gather 5 times for a seasonal Family Faith Formation session where the whole family is invited to come together for fun, fellowship and sharing on a faith related topic. If you feel this model of religious education is for your family, please sign up right away! Forms are available in the ambulatory, the parish office and by clicking on the following link. Please register before July 20. If you would like to help in any way contact Dominic Salamida at firstname.lastname@example.org or 392-2710. God bless!
